Short and Sweet

It’s almost time for my son, Anthony to begin college. He’s going to be earning his B.A. in computer science. He’s always been pretty independent, even as a small child, which I have mixed feelings about. Being my first, I wanted to baby him…some, well, more than I did, but, most of the time he showed me that he was too intelligent for that kind of stuff.

Of course growing up we all know that there may be things that we won’t necessarily want to do, but we know need to be done. A class, for instance. Anthony was required to take a course in Anthropology. Strange subject for a computer science major, don’t you think? Well, he finished it with an “A”. It was only a week long course. Online Schooling can be so convenient, especially when the class is so short.

While I don’t have to learn anything about the contents of the book he bought for the class, I told him that I’m interested. Who knows? Maybe there’ll be something to write about. I opened the book and it immediately took me to a page on arranged marriages…in India. Synchronicity? So, what’s the message?
